Interactive cultural tourism with mixed reality
The destination remains real; the way you experience it changes.
Interactive cultural tourism with mixed reality
In cultural tourism, mixed reality can add context to a destination without taking attention away from its streets, buildings or landscapes. A square might reveal a voice from the past, a walking route could invite decisions and a cultural venue can connect stories to digital objects placed in the environment. Technology interprets the destination; it does not replace it.
Built around each destination
NGT develops concepts for tours and short experiences based on local identity. Before creating content, it is important to research heritage, collaborate with the relevant institutions and study visitor numbers, sound, accessibility and duration. Stories can be adapted for families, groups, international travellers or educational visits while maintaining historical accuracy.
The Dominican Republic and international destinations
Santo Domingo and other Dominican destinations offer valuable cultural and historic contexts for interactive interpretation. This does not mean NGT currently operates bookable attractions at every place mentioned. Guides about what to do or see should distinguish established sights from verified, available NGT experiences.
- Place-based storytelling with direct interaction.
- Potential for multiple languages and audiences.
- Designed around visitor operations and conservation requirements.
